NFA services
Suppressors | SBRs | SBSs | AOWs | Machine guns. As a SOT Class 2 manufacturer we manufacture, transfer and deal in NFA firearms, and we handle the paperwork from the first form to pickup.
As of January 1, 2026 the $200 NFA tax stamp has been eliminated for suppressors, SBRs, SBSs and AOWs. You still submit the ATF forms and pass a background check — the fee is gone.
When we manufacture on Form 2 and process the Form 4 back to you, our observed in-house turnaround has been roughly 30 days. A transfer of an existing item on a standard eForm 4 runs 90–120 days.
Civilian suppressors come from our distributor network — SilencerCo, Rugged, Dead Air, Surefire and effectively every brand in US distribution, on Form 4. Ironcrest-manufactured suppressors are LEO-only.

Common questions
Do I still pay the $200 tax stamp?
No. As of January 1, 2026 the $200 NFA tax stamp has been eliminated for suppressors, SBRs, SBSs and AOWs. You still submit the forms and pass a background check.
How long does approval take?
When we manufacture on Form 2 and process the Form 4 back to you, our observed in-house turnaround has been about 30 days — faster than the 60+ days typically seen on customer-filed Form 1 applications. Transferring an existing item on a standard eForm 4 runs 90–120 days.
Can I bring my own firearm for an SBR conversion?
Yes. You bring the pistol or rifle, we manufacture it as an NFA item on Form 2, engrave the required markings, and process the Form 4 transfer back to you once approved.
What markings are required?
Manufacturer name, city, state, serial number, calibre and model, engraved to a minimum depth of .003". We do all of it on our CNC equipment.
Which serial prefix goes on an NFA item?
NFA items we manufacture carry ICBOOM-XXXXX, or ICVALEO-XXXXX on an agency order. Prefixes follow item type and channel — they are assigned by us, never selected in an order flow.
I am a law enforcement agency. How does this work for us?
Agencies receive NFA items on Form 5, which is tax-exempt and does not require individual officer background checks. See the law enforcement section for the full programme.
